Call them out, point them out, and vote them out

Dear Friend,

What should your last political act of 2005 be about?

There's only one answer. It should be about fighting back - about laying down a marker that says we've seen enough, heard enough, and seen the Republicans who control Washington try to mislead America more than enough. And, in 2006, we're coming to take our democracy back from the Washington special interests that control it today.

With the pivotal 2006 elections approaching, we won't be blackmailed or denied. We won't stand for Swift Boat-style attacks. We won't be intimidated. And we won't stop working until we win.

Support the Fight Back Fund Now

Throughout 2005, Keeping America's Promise, the leadership committee I helped launch, has raised over $2 million dollars for dozens of candidates - including our year-end drive under way right now focusing on women candidates locked in tough races.

Just as important, we've organized a vitally important Fight Back Fund. We're ready, willing and able to take on the vicious attacks, deceitful distortions, and truth-defying rhetoric - just the way we did when they tried to savage war hero John Murtha and other Bush administration critics.

When the Bush White House says one thing and does another, we'll call them out. When shadowy Republican front groups show up on the campaign trail, we'll smoke them out. When there are huge discrepancies between the successes they claim and the reality they've created, we'll point them out.

And, most importantly on Election Day 2006, we'll vote them out.

Support the Fight Back Fund Now

I hope you'll act right now to strengthen Keeping America's Promise's 2006 Fight Back Fund. We need to be ready to respond in force and at a moment's notice.

We know what to expect. With their backs to the wall, the Bush White House, the Republican National Committee, and all their shadowy front groups are counting on skirting the truth, hiding the facts, and disguising their failures for one more election cycle.

Will we let them get away with it? Not a chance.

I urge you to end 2005 and start the crucial election year of 2006 with a generous donation to Keeping America's Promise's Fight Back Fund.

Support the Fight Back Fund Now

I look forward to working side by side with you every day of 2006 as we stand up for our candidates and fight for our beliefs. Let's refuse to yield an inch to a Republican Party unconcerned about stopping the corruption in its midst . . . unwilling to address the failures in its record . . . and unable to speak the truth to the American people.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

Three Women Candidates. You. The Next 72 Hours.

Contribute Now

Dear Friend,

In the final 72 hours of 2005, Keeping America's Promise -- the leadership committee I helped launch -- is pulling out all the stops to help women candidates locked in crucial, must-win elections across America. We need to make sure that these impressive women have the resources they need to get their voices heard.

Senator Maria Cantwell has boldly stood up to powerful special interests to defend the Arctic Refuge. Senator Debbie Stabenow, a leader on health care and prescription drugs, faces a tough re-election battle after winning one of the closest Senate races of 2000. And Lois Murphy is locked in a tight, swing district Pennsylvania Congressional race against a close ally of Karl Rove and Tom DeLay.

I urge you to rush a critical year-end donation to help one, two, or all three of these strong Democrats in must-win 2006 contests:

Make a contribution to help these key races before the end of year deadline.

Our special 72-hour drive - in advance of important end-of-year FEC filing deadlines -- is all part of our 2006 Fight Back strategy. We absolutely refuse to let any Democratic candidate go into the 2006 elections vulnerable to the smear and fear campaigning that has become the trademark of the Rove Republicans and their special interest allies. We won't stand for Swift Boat-style attacks against anyone. That's why it's so critical for you to not only help these impressive women candidates but also fully fund our Fight Back initiatives.

Make a contribution to help these key races before the end of year deadline.

Make no mistake about it. We can only win in 2006 if we support our candidates at every turn and fight back against every unfounded attack and reckless charge. Keeping America's Promise is playing a vitally important role in helping to produce 2006 victories forged in strong convictions and powered by an unshakable determination to win.

I encourage you to support strong women candidates locked in tough races. And I urge you to lend your immediate support to Keeping America's Promise's 2006 Fight Back Fund. There is so much at stake.

Make a contribution to help these key races before the end of year deadline.

With those two steps, you can make 2006 the year we change direction, take power out of the hands of those who have abused it, and move America forward.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

P.S. Maria Cantwell in Washington, Lois Murphy in Pennsylvania, and Debbie Stabenow in Michigan are all in need of your immediate support. Please help as many of them as you can - and don't forget to add a special donation to sustain the take-no-prisoners, no-holds-barred efforts of Keeping America's Promise's 2006 Fight Back Fund.

Where is the Oversight?

Dear Friend,

These days, it's hard to keep up with the scandals of One Party Rule in Washington.

DeLay's election scams, Frist's financial dealings, Cheney's lobbying for torture, domestic spying, secret prisons abroad, the Katrina debacle, outing a CIA agent, Rove, Scooter, and the Rubber Stamp Republicans giving the green light all the way.

Where is the oversight? Where is the accountability?

It's up to you. We have just 3 days left before the most critical fundraising deadline there is in politics. Republicans and their wealthy cohorts know we have the momentum. They will fight tooth and nail to maintain their power and the status quo that is so profitable for them. Will you help us?

Contribute $25, $50, or more so Democratic Candidates Keep Pace at Year-End

At year-end, after sweeping Democratic victories in November, wealthy special-interest groups are flooding the coffers of rubber stamp Republicans before this critical deadline. Your contribution today will ensure Election 2006 is a fair fight. We simply can no longer afford to give them a green light to more unchecked abuse and neglect by Republicans.

Make or break elections are just around the corner.

Will you let the wealthy special interests that profit from a corrupt status quo continue to dictate the outcome of our elections? Or will you join me in saying, "Enough is enough," and help make sure we meet our $200,000 goal so we can compete with the year-end flood of Republican special-interest money. We know what's coming next with their money: unlimited funding of attacks, deception, obstacles to counting votes, and any new underhanded tactics strategists like Rove can devise.

Contribute $25, $50, or more so Democratic Candidates Keep Pace at Year-End

Republican operatives boast of how they like to "knockout Democratic challengers" early, before they even get a chance out of the box. Our candidates are already facing relentless attacks from a powerful, well-funded Republican machine.

We can't afford to wait until spring and summer to fight back - we need your help today. I can't be more clear: elections can't be won today, but they can indeed be lost - especially at year-end when the wealthy, right-wing kicks into high gear funding mode. Only through a unified commitment from our grassroots supporters will we succeed in making their machine obsolete. We are just $36,000 shy of our $200,000 goal. That number is not randomly selected. It's what we know our candidates need in order to compete.

Contribute $25, $50, or more so Democratic Candidates Keep Pace at Year-End

The DCCC is the only organization whose principal mission is to provide strategic and financial support to Democratic House candidates every step of the way.

We only need 15 seats to win the majority, and we have over 50 great challengers ready to get the job done. These are skilled, principled, and progressive candidates who, like you, have had enough of a do-nothing, corrupt Republican Congress that takes care of its friends at the expense of the American people.

With Democrats at the helm, we will hold all branches of our government accountable in a bipartisan manner. We will demand a plan for success in Iraq with specific benchmarks. We will implement the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission that Republicans opposed. We will stop Republican cuts in student loans that raise the cost of higher education nearly $6,000. We will give Medicare the right to negotiate lower prescription drug costs in mass-purchasing. And we will offer fiscally and morally responsible budgets that put the needs of middle-class Americans first.

Contribute $25, $50, or more so Democratic Candidates Keep Pace at Year-End

Let's end the Republicans' green light for corruption and failed Bush-Cheney-DeLay policies. Let's end the deterioration of our reputation as a beacon for human rights. Let's end the inexcusable neglect of 45 million uninsured Americans. Let's end the doling out of tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans while a ballooning deficit burdens future generations.

Let's make sure Congress is once again The People's House, and not simply a White House Annex.

Contribute $25, $50, or more so Democratic Candidates Keep Pace at Year-End

I know I can count on you to make Election 2006 a fair and winning fight.

Sincerely,

Rahm Emanuel

Don't forget

automat,

Over the next few days we will gather together with our families and loved ones to celebrate the holiday season. As we take the time to remember the ones we love and welcome the New Year, it is important not to forget those who have suffered and sacrificed so much in the past year.

In particular this holiday season the families of our wounded, brave service men and women and the families displaced and devastated by the Gulf Coast Hurricanes deserve our special attention.

This time of year can be especially hard for families with a service member who has been wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan. At the time when a family most wants to be together, the unfortunate reality is that many wounded service members must receive specialized medical care great distances from their families.

A foundation called Fisher House creates comfort homes, built on the grounds of major military and Veterans Administration medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to loved ones during their hospitalization. Every year Fisher House serves more than 8,500 military families.

As we send our thoughts and prayers to all our troops and their families, and express thanks for the sacrifices they make on our behalf every day, I ask that you consider supporting the Fisher House Foundation by visiting:

http://www.fisherhouse.org/contribute/onlineGiving.shtml

As the headlines disappear for those affected by the hurricanes and their aftermath, the suffering continues. Tens of thousands are still scattered across the country in temporary housing.

We need to rebuild. We must provide homes for those affected and rebuild the communities that have been torn apart. Habitat for Humanity has been instrumental in building new homes for those who lost everything this past fall.

Habitat for Humanity is the American community at its best -- people coming together to achieve a common goal for the common good. Please consider helping them continue their vital work by volunteering with your local chapter or making a contribution:

https://www.habitat.org/giving/donate.aspx?link=1

All of us at the Democratic Party wish you and your family a happy and safe holiday season.

Thank you,

Governor Howard Dean, M.D.

Happy Holidays from Tom, George & Crew

Dear Friend,

It's been a rough year for our friends across the aisle, what with President Bush making a run for most unpopular president since Nixon and Tom DeLay getting indicted. Now, with the holiday season here, it's time to relax and regroup, because 2006 just might be the most intense midterm election year of our lifetimes. So while the Republicans mull their New Years' Resolutions (no more getting caught by prosecutors!), we invite you to have a little fun at their expense and maybe even spread some holiday cheer to your friends and family:

We've made a Video Holiday Card just for you:

Enjoy, and Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,

Jesse Lee, DCCC

You stopped the Republicans today

JohnKerry.com

Dear Friend,

Today you proved what can happen when we stand up against the abuse of power in Washington. Today the Senate kept faith with our troops and we stopped the Republican leadership from drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Thanks to your powerful advocacy over the past 48 hours, the Senate today stopped the Republican leaders and President Bush from passing a bill that would have allowed drilling in the Arctic and put oil companies' profits before the needs of the nation.

While the fight is never over, we hope that these special interest provisions will now be stripped from the bill, and our troops and military commanders will get the help that they so desperately need without all the extra special interest favors the Republican leaders added to the bill to help their political allies. It never would have happened without your support.

Although we won today, it is crystal clear that President Bush and the Republicans do not share the priorities of the American people -- and we have to be ready to take the fight to them once again in 2006.

Thank you for all your support, your passion and your dedication. I'm proud of our johnkerry.com community -- and I'm especially proud that you helped to save the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Teresa and I wish you and your family a very happy holiday and a happy new year.

Let's keep fighting for a stronger America.

Sincerely,

John Kerry
