Deadline Extended: Plan Your 50-State Canvass Event Now
With just over two weeks to go, nearly 600 door-knocking events have been planned in all 50 states for the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Organizing Day on April 29th.
State parties and grassroots volunteers are planning more and more events every day -- so we have extended the deadline to plan your own canvassing event.
If you plan your event by Friday, April 14th, we will make sure that you receive a free package of door-hangers in time for your event. Planning your event online is simple using our events tool, and this 50-state canvass is the next big step in the effort to elect Democrats everywhere in 2006.
Plan your event now:
If you wait to plan your event until after Friday, we can't guarantee that we can send you the literature to distribute in time for your canvass. (Of course, the online resource center will always be there for you to print additional materials.)
If you can't take on the responsibility of planning a canvass in your neighborhood, don't worry -- hundreds of canvassing events have already been planned across the country.
Just punch in your zip code to find one near you:
Never before has our party been more organized in advance of an election, and all the signs point to this being a big election year for Democrats. But if we want to win in November, we've got to fight now to reach every community and build a solid operation before Election Day.
Volunteers knocking on doors on April 29th will carry a simple piece of literature. It summarizes the Democratic vision and offers an opportunity to make a connection and be a part of the movement for change.
Whether people receive the literature in person or on their doorknob, they will be able to plug into their local volunteer network, which will be crucial to building our organization now and turning out the vote in November.
Thank you for doing what you can to be a part of this historic effort.
