Democrats
Friend --

Let me get right to the point:

For all kinds of reasons, today is a very important day to support Democrats.

If you can, please chip in $3 or more before midnight tonight:

I need your help today

My presidency has always been about you, and let me tell you what I mean.

We got here in the first place because, in 2008, you built the biggest grassroots organization in the history of American politics. But we were only getting started.

Over the next few years, we worked together to pass health care reform, bring our brave troops home from Iraq, and repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell. None of those things would have happened without your support.

And a little more than 11 months ago, we celebrated another victory.

I need your help today because all of the progress that has been made since 2008 has never been about what I can do for you, but what we can accomplish together.

I need partners in the Senate and House who share that focus. And tonight's fundraising deadline is crucial.

Chip in $3 or more right now before the midnight fundraising deadline to help Democrats finish what we started.

Even though Republicans and their allies outraised and outspent Democrats last year, we came together to build an organization that could overcome all of the super PAC attack ads. Our campaign was disciplined and strategic, and we proved that a few wealthy donors couldn't drown out the voices of millions of ordinary Americans.

This year, Democrats are being outspent again. And while we've shown we can overcome that, we can't be outspent 10-to-1 and expect to win elections in 2013, 2014, and the years to come.

There's so much more we have to do and it won't happen without you:

https://my.democrats.org/Deadline

Thanks,

Barack

P.S. -- Your support will make a difference. Donate now.

Hey

Friend --

If you've been watching what's been happening here in Washington over the past couple of weeks, and you still think you need more reasons to support Democrats over Republicans, I'm not sure what to tell you.

The choice is pretty clear.

Chip in $3 or more and get Democrats' backs before the fundraising deadline at midnight:

Thanks,

Do you understand this?

Friend --

One senator is running the show in the Republican Party right now.

He's not my senator. And he's not your senator.

But for some reason I can't understand, the Republican Party is letting Ted Cruz lead their charge against Obamacare -- a law that they're still fighting tooth and nail, despite the fact that every branch of the federal government has approved it, and despite the fact that we're seeing real signs that it's starting to work.

Now, Ted Cruz isn't a bad guy. But he needs to be reminded that he's not representing the will of the American people when he tries to obstruct and defund Obamacare.

Before Monday's fundraising deadline, support the organization that's standing up for Obamacare, and chip in $3 to the Democrats.

There was a time when leaders from both parties came together to do what made sense for the country.

This isn't the Congress I remember being a part of. And it sure isn't a Congress that represents the American people.

Fight back against the far right by chipping in today:

https://my.democrats.org/Deadline

Thanks,

Joe

Silly

Friend --

There were two candidates in last year's presidential election -- one ran on a platform of repealing health reform, and the other put his name on it.

You probably remember which one won. But after listening to Ted Cruz's speech on the Senate floor earlier this week, I'm wondering if my Republican friends might have forgotten.

Obamacare has been passed, signed into law, and upheld by the Supreme Court. But Republicans are still doing everything they can to fight the law, and we need to match them step for step.

Join me, and sign up to join the team that's protecting Obamacare today.

In 2012, every single senator who voted for the Affordable Care Act -- including me -- won reelection, most by double digits, and some in red states.

So I think it's just silly when I hear my Republican friends, led by Senator Cruz, saying that they're doing everything they can to block and defund Obamacare because that's what the American people want.

Take a moment to show them what the American people really want -- to give health care reform a chance to succeed. Join the team today:

All the best,

Claire

Barack needs your help

You're never more important than you are at times like these, and here's why.

When Barack is in a tough negotiation with Republicans in Congress, he needs to know that his supporters are with him -- that you're ready to do whatever it takes.

So here's the thing: if you chip in to support Democrats before the critical fundraising deadline on Monday, you won't just be building an organization that can help elect Democrats who are going to support Barack. You're showing Barack that you're in his corner -- that you've got his back.

And right now, with all that's happening, that really matters.

Chip in $3 or more to support Barack and his Democratic allies:

P.S. -- So much is at stake right now. Please chip in before Monday at midnight.

Obamacare in California

Democrats
Friend --

Ted Cruz managed to talk about Obamacare on the Senate floor for 21 hours earlier this week without saying much that was actually true about Obamacare.

It was an example of just how much misinformation there is out there about health reform -- and we need to fight back with the truth.

We put together a beautiful new website that's full of facts about how Obamacare is working across the country -- including in California. Take a look, and share it with your friends and family:

ThisIsObamacare.com

Open enrollment in Obamacare's exchanges begin in less than a week, so it's never been more important to get the word out about the benefits of health reform.

So set the record straight on the misinformation about Obamacare -- hold Ted Cruz and his Republican allies accountable:

Checking in!

Friend --

I bet you thought I was done emailing you.

But just because we elected a President -- twice -- doesn't mean our work is done.

That's why I need you to join me, and chip in $3 or more to support Democrats today.

If you thought that losing the election last year would make Republicans start governing responsibly -- well, have you met any Republican members of Congress?

There's only one place where we can hold these people accountable: the ballot box. Democrats are building an organization to do just that -- and they need your help.

Help me beat the Tea Party:

Friend --

I'd like to introduce you to my opponent in the Virginia governor's race, Ken Cuccinelli -- the man who's been described as "Tea Party before there was a Tea Party." Cuccinelli was the first person to sue the federal government over Obamacare. He's the guy who led the charge to shut down women's health clinics in Virginia.

Last year, we banded together to elect President Obama, gain seats in both the House and the Senate, and reject the extreme Tea Party agenda. But the fight doesn't stop there.

Will you help me keep Democrats' momentum from last year going strong in 2013?

Ken Cuccinelli is cut from the same cloth as extreme candidates like Todd Akin. But don't take my word for it -- take Cuccinelli's. Here is just a small selection of things he's said:

-- His ultimate goal is to "make abortion disappear in America and make people want it that way."

-- "[Homosexuality] brings nothing but self-destruction, not only physically but of their soul."

-- Social Security and Medicare were created by "bad politicians" to "make people dependent on government."

We stood up to politicians who used extreme social agendas to drive wedges between people last year. And we can do it again this year, but not without your help.

Join me and stand up to Ken Cuccinelli's brand of divisive politics:

http://my.democrats.org/Defeat-Cuccinelli

Thanks,

Terry McAuliffe

It's over

Democrats
Friend --

In the past few weeks, you've been hearing a lot about the GOP civil war.

Well, the war's over -- and the Tea Party won.

This week we saw John Boehner and Republican leadership completely cave to the Tea Party by approving a plan that holds hostage our economic recovery and financial stability unless we defund Obamacare.

In other words, congressional Republicans are so dead-set on their hard-right agenda -- and so opposed to anything whatsoever that President Obama proposes, no matter how common-sense or good for families -- that they are willing to hurt the economic well-being of ordinary Americans if they don't get their way.

Show Republicans that you're going to hold them accountable for their recklessness -- add your name today:

SNAP

Democrats
Friend --

House Republicans are voting today to cut food stamps by $40 billion, which would kick up to 6 million people off the program.

I can throw a lot of stats and numbers at you about how terrible that would be, but I think an article from the New York Times a couple weeks ago sums it up best. Here's the part that really got me:
As a self-described "true Southern man" -- and reluctant recipient of food stamps -- Dustin Rigsby, a struggling mechanic, hunts deer, doves and squirrels to help feed his family. He shops for grocery bargains, cooks budget-stretching stews and limits himself to one meal a day.
...
For the Rigsbys, both 20, the priority is three meals a day for their son, Drake, who is 1. Some months they run out of milk. Mr. Rigsby, who is out of work with a knee injury, recently sold his truck for cash; his wife, Christina, works part time as a clerk at J.C. Penney. On the refrigerator in their sparsely furnished apartment is a calendar marked with the date -- the 6th -- that their card is refreshed. "FOOD!" it declares.

"When we got married, we told each other that we want to be able to sit down at the table and eat as a family," Mrs. Rigsby said. "But we don't really get to do that."

In Washington, House Republicans propose cutting $40 billion more in food stamps over the next 10 years by imposing work requirements and eliminating waivers for some able-bodied adults. The cuts would push four million to six million low-income people, including millions of "very low-income unemployed parents" who want to work but cannot find jobs, off the rolls, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
Those proposed cuts are being voted on today. And we need to stop them.

Add your name, and call on Republicans to stop playing games with food stamps:

Can I get your input?

Democrats
Friend --

I've just been asked to serve as the acting executive director of the Democratic Party by our Chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I'm so excited to work with supporters like you, starting today.

Positive changes are happening at Democratic Headquarters every day, and I want to make sure that you're involved. So I have a question for you: why are you a Democrat?

I'm a Democrat because this party belongs to everyone -- we operate from the middle-out, not the top-down. That's why I want to know what you think about our party.

Take a few minutes to share what issues you think the Democrats should focus on:

http://my.democrats.org/Survey

Your answers will guide strategy as Democrats across the country gear up for elections in 2013 and 2014.

Thanks,
