If you care about our planet, I need you to add your name
Yesterday was Earth Day -- a day that celebrates a movement of ordinary people who have done extraordinary things to keep our planet safe and sustainable.
Protecting the environment was one of the reasons why I first ran for office more than forty years ago -- and it's an issue that matters now more than ever.
Climate change is real. Denying it is like denying gravity. It not only threatens our environment, it undermines our economic and national security. Barack and I have done more than any other administration in history to address it -- ushering in a clean energy economy and leading the world to an agreement in Paris. But we need to keep it going.
We need friends and supporters in Congress and a leader in the White House who will take on the special interests and do right by future generations.
And we can't let climate deniers in the Republican Party stand in our way. We need a Congress full of Democrats who know we can have a strong economy and safe environment, and who know that the real legacy of Earth Day is what we do every day to protect the planet we all share.
Say you're in to make sure they're elected up and down the ballot all across our country:
Thanks for this.
