I'm asking

Friend --

For the past seven and a half years, folks like you have proven that you're committed to doing whatever it takes to make life better for people in every corner of this country. Your hope and optimism paved the way to a brighter America: One where folks can marry who they love, where students don't just have to dream about going to college because it's become a real possibility, where we're taking action to make sure our kids and grandkids inherit a healthy planet. Our progress is real. It's tangible, and every day we're seeing the results more and more.

Together, we're going to build on that.

And I know we've got lofty goals. We always have. And there will always be cynics and naysayers -- but we can't be beholden to them. We've got a job to do and people across the country who are counting on us to keep doing the work around things that matter most in their lives.

Electing Democrats is how we keep that work up, so right now I'm asking you to pitch in $3 or whatever you can before our deadline at midnight tonight so that Democrats across the country have the resources they need to win in November.

If you've saved your payment information, your donation will go through immediately.

QUICK DONATE: $10

One of the greatest things about our country is that we're never finished. We're writing our own history every single day and we have the opportunity to create the change we believe in.

So thank you. Thank you for standing by me.

Seriously - thank you

I want to take a moment to celebrate you.

I'm always in awe of folks like you who dig deep and give this movement everything you have. We have come so far because of your passion and your determination to keep making progress.

The work that we're doing matters, and it's making a difference in the lives of millions of people across this country.

So I want you to know that I'm proud of you. I can see how hard you're working to move this country forward, and I am so grateful for everything you do.

Your unwavering commitment inspires Barack every single day. But his time in office is coming to an end, and we need to elect leaders who will be just as committed to getting up every day and continuing to do this work with us. And we need your help. Democrats are facing a fundraising deadline Saturday night at midnight, so I'm asking you to dig deep just one more time and pitch in $3 or whatever you can to make sure we have the resources we need to win.

Fwd: My vote for president

We know what our values are -- now we just need to make sure we're ready to fight for them.

Answer President Obama's call. Say you're in before our deadline on Saturday:

-------- Forwarded message --------
From: Barack Obama
Date: Tue, Apr 26, 2016
Subject: My vote for president

Friend --

In a few months, I'll be heading into the voting booth to cast my vote for the next President of the United States. And, like so many of you, I've spent this primary observing the candidates and the parties, and what they represent.

And I have to say, this has been a difficult period for the Republicans. They're trying to figure out what they're standing for -- whether they will be the party of building walls and surveilling neighborhoods, whether they will be the party that enshrines discrimination in our laws.

But the good news for Democrats is that we know what we believe. We believe that climate change is real and that we must do something about it. We believe in raising the minimum wage, and that women should be paid the same as men for doing the same job. We believe that our laws should reflect our heritage as a nation of immigrants. We believe that all people should be treated with dignity and respect, no matter their race or religion, gender or sexual orientation.

We have two fine Democratic candidates who, no matter their differences, share this same set of core beliefs that defines our party. And in November, we're going to make sure that one of them becomes our next president.

But first -- right now -- I need to know that you're in:

http://my.democrats.org/Elect-Democrats

Thanks,

Donald Trump just got one step closer to becoming the Republican nominee. Make sure we're ready to beat him.

Donald Trump just won New York, and he's closer than ever to securing the Republican Party's nomination for President of the United States.

Which means his dangerous policy proposals -- from mass deportations and banning Muslims from entering the country to punishing women for seeking abortions -- are one step closer to becoming a reality.

We can't let that happen. Pitch in $3 or whatever you can now to stop Donald Trump.

If you care about our planet, I need you to add your name

Friend --

Yesterday was Earth Day -- a day that celebrates a movement of ordinary people who have done extraordinary things to keep our planet safe and sustainable.

Protecting the environment was one of the reasons why I first ran for office more than forty years ago -- and it's an issue that matters now more than ever.

Climate change is real. Denying it is like denying gravity. It not only threatens our environment, it undermines our economic and national security. Barack and I have done more than any other administration in history to address it -- ushering in a clean energy economy and leading the world to an agreement in Paris. But we need to keep it going.

We need friends and supporters in Congress and a leader in the White House who will take on the special interests and do right by future generations.

And we can't let climate deniers in the Republican Party stand in our way. We need a Congress full of Democrats who know we can have a strong economy and safe environment, and who know that the real legacy of Earth Day is what we do every day to protect the planet we all share.

Say you're in to make sure they're elected up and down the ballot all across our country:

http://my.democrats.org/Earth-Day

Thanks for this.

Add your name if you're ready to keep up the fight:

Friend --

I often hear people talk about how much they admire Barack and all the work that he's done -- and of course, I completely agree. But I also remind them that so much of our progress is because of people like you whose commitment to moving this country forward is unwavering. Your passion and dedication never cease to amaze me.

We've come so far together over the last seven years. And today, I just want to say thank you for standing with Barack every step of the way on this journey.

But if we're going to keep making progress and making a difference in people's lives, we've got to commit right now to continuing this work long after Barack has left office. And that means electing leaders who share our Democratic values and whose vision for this country matches ours.

Add your name if you're ready to keep up the fight and elect Democrats in November:

http://my.democrats.org/Elect-Democrats

You're amazing. Thank you so much for everything you've done and everything you will do to keep moving this country forward.

The difference Democrats make

Factivists
Getting the word out about how bad Republicans would be for America is the most important part of our work.

Become a Factivist today to get the latest information about what they're up to, then forward these emails to your friends and family to keep them in the loop, too.

Friend --

Another week, another chance to see just what a difference there is between the vision for America we're fighting for as Democrats and what Republicans do when left to their own devices. Here are just a few of the examples from this week of just how far apart our two parties are on some of the most important issues -- take a look, and then share with your friends:

Voting Rights

When it comes to one of our most fundamental rights, Republicans are sticking to their principle of "less (access to the ballot) is more (beneficial to us)."

Really, GOP? -- load image

Whereas Democrats are refusing to back down to states that threaten that right, and just this week, the Democratic National Committee announced a joint lawsuit against the state of Arizona to fight back:

Our message to Arizona Republicans -- load image

Equal Rights

We've seen what a difference state government can make when it comes to anti-LGBT equality laws. While Pennsylvania's Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf signed an executive order this week to bar discrimination in state agencies and contractors, GOP-led state after GOP-led state is going in the opposite direction:

We have to keep fighting -- load image

This week also marked Equal Pay Day, a holiday we wish we didn't have to celebrate. While the Republican Party doesn't seem to think it's an issue worth addressing that in 2016, women still only make 79 cents on average for every dollar a man makes:

These guys can't be trusted -- load image

Democrats agree that when women succeed, America succeeds:

Democrats are here for women -- load image

SCOTUS

And let's not forget, that when it comes to actually governing and allowing our three branches to function as the Constitution states, the difference is night and day:

We couldn't agree more -- load image

We're going to keep saying it -- load image

The good news is that our candidates up and down the ballot are making the case crystal clear for why we're so much better off electing Democrats this November:

We're pretty proud of this -- load image

And with supporters like you getting out the word about just how important this election is, we're going to be in great shape to win and win big. Make sure to share this with your friends and family, and don't forget -- you can let everyone you forward this to know they can be Factivist, too!

We're filing a lawsuit against Arizona. Here's why:

DemocratsJoin us.
Today, we're filing a lawsuit against the state of Arizona.

Read on to learn more about it, and then say you'll help us fight to protect every vote:

Friend --

Today, the Democratic National Committee, along with the Arizona Democratic Party, the Kirkpatrick for Senate campaign, and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, filed a federal lawsuit against the state of Arizona.

On March 22nd, we watched as thousands of Arizonans were denied their right to vote -- the most fundamental right that we hold as Americans. And we decided to act now to ensure those same injustices won't be repeated in November.

Americans have died to protect this precious right, and we won't sit idly by now as the Constitution and the Voting Rights Act are violated. As Democrats, one of our central objectives is to ensure that Americans' values are reflected in our leaders -- and we do that by protecting, preserving, and expanding the right to vote. Every single eligible American deserves a voice in our electoral process, but last month, Arizona silenced thousands of voices.

So with this lawsuit, here's what we're asking the courts to do:
  • Review and approve the county's election plan to ensure it complies with the Voting Rights Act and Constitution of the United States.
  • Require Arizona to count all out-of-precinct provisional ballots.
  • Lift the ban on voters obtaining assistance when casting an early vote, which was a longstanding practice in Arizona for years and is a matter of course in other states.
This issue is incredibly important, and not just for Arizonans. Across the country, Republicans are trying to make it harder to vote for women, communities of color, students, the elderly, and working people -- the same people Democrats spend every day fighting for.

I'm asking you today to add your name and show the Republican leadership in Arizona, and Republicans across the country who aim to disenfranchise voters with cynical and downright offensive laws, that Democrats are fighting back:

http://my.democrats.org/Hold-Republicans-Accountable

Together, we're going to expand voting access, restore the Voting Rights Act, and ensure that the most basic and critical right we hold is protected.

Thank you.

Pratt
