Congress is now in recess, which means our task of holding Republicans accountable just got more important.
Republicans chose to spend the past few weeks in Washington trying to take health care away from millions of Americans, selling our browsing history to internet providers, launching yet another attack on Planned Parenthood, making it harder to save for retirement, helping Donald Trump obscure the truth on his ties to Russia -- and of course, they had to end last week with a nuclear bang by changing the rules of the Senate to give Neil Gorsuch a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court:
Republicans shouldn't be retreating back to their hometowns with their heads held high because they've got a lot to answer for.
So we can't take time off from protecting our rights and fighting for our values -- and Republicans certainly don't deserve the break. Keep schooling them. Learn how you can get involved during the recess at resistancerecess.com:
Don't ever think that what you do doesn't matter. Because you resisted, we beat back the GOP's Obamacare repeal bill and made sure millions of americans got to keep their affordable health care. But we have to keep our guard up, because they're certainly not backing down on this fight:
So let's keep resisting, and let's keep holding the GOP accountable for their actions by putting Democrats in office -- just like we did last week in Missouri and Nevada:
